How do you view this season?

OK, LSU fans, how do you view this football season?

You can say a nine-win season is an accomplishment. But then none of the nine wins came against teams that will be ranked at the end of the season.

You could say the season was a disappointment. But then remember the Gerry DiNardo days? The Curley Hallman days? Nine wins looked pretty good back then.

So what say you Tiger fans? Success or disappointment in 2009?

Big disappointment. I expected losses to FL and AL and at least one upset loss. But this team had way too much talent to barely beat Miss. State and Ark.

The offense, in particular, was disappointing, but some of that was the growing pains of a new, young QB. Is that not Crowton and Miles' job, however, to create a scheme in which Jefferson would have been successful? Trying to teach him the option ain't it.

The O line was the biggest disappointment of all.

Let's look at the last 2 seasons: 8-8 in the SEC, and 1-5 in the SEC in November. Is that a success or a disappointment? Everyone would agree that these teams were capable of accomplishing much more. Is anyone happy with being just an average SEC team?

Definite disappointment. Les does less with the most of any coach this year.

What disappoints me are the "ones that got away". Ole Miss, Florida, & Alabama could have been wins. LSU had so much talent this year to work with, but unfortunately poor coaching to put it all together. Also, we've got a quarterback that hasn't lived up to the hype and probably won't going forward. This year was supposed to be Jefferson's breakout year, but he hasn't progressd much at all.
