Former LSU offensive lineman Alan Faneca is said to be unhappy with his Pittsburgh Steelers' contract.

Faneca is getting some help from the national media in his contract negotiations.

This week's issue of The Sporting News ranks Faneca as the top offensive lineman in the AFC (for centers and guards) and suggests he's the best at his position in the NFL.

Because of the brevity of an NFL career, Faneca is wise to get as much money as he can as long as he can.
