Turnover town

The news that pitcher T.J. Forrest won't return to LSU is not good for Paul Mainieri and the Tigers.

Forrest is a guy who could have been a weekend pitcher as a sophomore. Instead, he will be pitching at Bossier Parish Community College.

Forrest says the reason he is transferring is to be eligible for the draft again next year. That may be part of the reason. There have been reports that academics could be a part of the reason.

Whatever the reason, this isn't the kind of attrition that is good for a program.

Oh, yeah. Having a 7-4 4.20 era agains the likes of Panola Junior College and Jehovah's Witness academy preps you for the pros much better than playing against the SEC.
