Les' new friends

Apparently, the national media types think we in Louisiana who dare question Les Miles don't know what we're talking about these days.

Matt Hayes of the Sporting News writes that Miles is enduring unecessary and unfair criticism. You can read it here at this link.

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports.com thinks LSU would be crazy to fire Crazy Les. Here is the link for that one.

So I guess being up close we don't realize how good we have it here in Louisiana -- what with a Super Bowl champion team in the Saints and the next Knute Rockne in Baton Rouge.

How dumb can we be?

Miles was one of the best coaches in the SEC West until Saban and Petrino arrived. Nutt is not a great coach; he's a motivator, but he knows how to beat Miles. TIme will tell w/ Chizik. It hurts Miles that LSU has to play FL and Meyer every year.

We can only hope that the new assistant coaches will make a difference.

The prof is in the pudding, after the NC year, that took a lot of luck so LSU could win it,the LSU football program has lost to many football game.To now have the LSU fans (to say) yes Les Miles is a top of the line head football coach.
Les Miles is not a good football coach at all,he is instead losing football game with one of the top football programs in the country. It is just a matter of time before the top LSU football program start to look like just another run of the middle of the SEC pack programs, now playing college football.
No skin off of the "OUT of State sports writers" nose. They talk and we the LSU fans feel the pain.

Thanks Glenn, for letting us LSU fans see how some of the other sports writers feel about Les Miles.

LSU would not have won the 2007 BCS title w/o Flynn and Hester, although Crowton was brilliant in the title game. Miles was the head coach, but his contribution was gambling that paid off on 4th downs vs. Florida, etc. Will LSU football return to glory under a gambling cheerleader?

I hope that Michigan fires their head coach and the big blue comes calling Les Miles, and the two peas in a pie go off into the happy blue yonder up north.
Then the smartest part of the country with the best sports writers can laugh and play together.
Then one of the wise guys up there can write a song about how happy they are with Les Miles.

I have now past the place called Mad.
Where do I go now?
Nick Saban is a recruiting machine and Les Miles is a Hobo.
Throw that bum off the train.

"How Dumb Can We Be?" Come on Scott this is Louisiana. Have you looked at our ranking in education? Have you watched a political debate among La. candidates lately? LSU football is one of the few things that we have going right for us. We might fire a head coach that is 4-1 in bowl games with a national championship. We can be amazingly dumb in Louisiana, sometimes.
