Saying goodbye
If you want to know what kind of teammate Marquise Hill was, or just how close guys on that 2003 team were, look at the list of people who attended Hill's funeral services on Saturday in New Orleans.
Besides his Patriots teammates former LSU teammates who attended include Giants cornerback Corey Webster, Colts running back Joseph Addai, Buccaneers wide receiver Michael Clayton, Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears, Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams, Bengals offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth and Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
Both his former coach - Nick Saban -- and his alma mater's current coach, Les Miles, were in attendance.
That speaks volumes both about Hill as a person and teammate and the closeness of that team.
It is a tragic situation. We can only keep his family in our prayers and thoughts.
