End of an era?

Unless something crazy happens on Thursday, LSU's run of six consecutive years with first-round NFL Draft choices will come to an end.

That mark is currently the longest in the nation -- and one more reason why you could argue LSU as college football's team of the '90s without embarrassment.

While Les Miles may promote the draft on his Twitter account, the reality is the streak shouldn't have ended here. Both Brandon LaFell and Ciron Black were once thought to be first-round talents. Not anymore.

Sure, LSU is hoping for a school-record 10 draft picks this year. But the fact that there could be no first-rounders speaks to where this program is right now.

Putting aside Les Miles football coaching ability,he seems to talk like a goof ball, just short of being a lunatic?
A good recruiter, but a terrible game coach...That LSU #1 pro draft streak might be broken- is no surprise to me?
Only the football gods know what going to happen next?

And don't tell me Chad Jones wouldn't be a first rounder had he played at Alabama.

AL had 1 pick in the top 10, and 1 in the 2nd 10. Hell; even Rutgers had 2 picks n the 1st round.

LSU has slipped to a second tier team ... at best.

Six year LSU 1st round NFL draft picks broken on Les Miles watch?
Is he not recruiting good enough?
Or is he not coaching well enough for the players to be drafted into the NFL?
LSU football glory look like it is slipping, slipping, slipping, down the hill, down into the past, not into the future?
And importantly not into the NFL?

So,the LSU coaches can tell 5 star recruits, "we can't recruit a star QB, but we can "develop" you into a 3rd round NFL pick."
